For a long time, I wanted to organize a dream visit to Goa, but for some reason or the other it was not getting materialized. Finally, I got an opportunity to proceed to Goa by flight on Dec 11, 2013, along with my family. We arrived at the Dabolim airport in the afternoon and proceeded to our hotel about 40 Kms away at Pride Sun Village Resort, Baga, Goa. We found it to be very beautiful, clean, comfortable and hospitable enough. We stayed here for 5 days. This period was over so fast that the date of our scheduled departure came close by. Nevertheless we enjoyed our visit to Goa, by organizing planned trips to the lovely sea beaches, with cool winds, clean water and fine sand, besides the Sun and of course the large crowds, especially the foreigners. These sea beaches are different from many other beaches, which we had the good fortune to see in different parts of the world. The Baga beach is famous as also the Calangute beach. The unique water sports package consists of parasailing, jetski, banana ride, bumper ride, besides the boat ride. It is difficult to describe the joys of such trips. We also saw the churches, the Saturday Night Bazar, several other markets, the beautiful Malls and many other things. We also visited Mangeshi temple in natural surroundings in the Priol area. The timing of our trip was very good, as due to the ensuing Christmas, there was a festive atmosphere everywhere in Goa, which added to our happiness. The most pleasant part of the programme was the one hour long Boat Cruise, with lighting, music and dances by a large number of ladies and gents.  This is arranged every half an hour, from the Boat centre, below Mandovi Bridge, Panjim. There is a water fall at a long distance, which however, we could not visit due to paucity of time, but we heard a lot about its beauty.  Accordingly several programmes are organized for their interests. The transport service is also said to be visitor friendly. The food is exotic.  In the nights the bazaars are lighted to give added attraction for the tourists. Goa is famous for cashew nuts. Goa is well known as a place of tourist’s interests. The tourist office in Goa, is said to make adequate arrangements for helping the tourists, so that they return to their homes, as satisfied persons, with hopes of coming again and also motivating their friends for similar visits to Goa.                                                                                   ———vijaiksharma
